THE WINDING WAYS SERIES : CELEBRATING LIFE’S UNIQUE JOURNEYS

VIVI LAMARRE’S WINDING WAYS SERIES TRANSFORMS LIFE’S TWISTS AND TURNS INTO STUNNING CONTEMPORARY JEWELRY PIECES

These unique pieces, featured above, are part of my Winding Ways series, which I began in 2021 to delve into the theme of non-linear journeys. These two particular designs represent the seasons in life when our paths become tangled, and everything seems to stray from its course. It took me years to accept that human lives are rarely composed of straight lines. I was inspired to transform these moments into wearable art—contemporary jewelry that allows you to adorn yourself with fragments of your life's story. This entire series is a tribute to the detours we navigate and the decisions we make, crafting a path that is entirely our own.

EXPLORING BARRIERS THROUGH JEWELRY DESIGN

THIS INNOVATIVE SERIES BY VIVI LAMARRE REIMAGINES CONSTRAINTS AND CELEBRATES CREATIVE ADAPTABILITY IN CONTEMPORARY ART JEWELRY

Sandbox was originally created as part of a groupe exhibition named Box Up!, curated and organized by Co-Adorn Canadian Art Jewellery association. Inspired by the theme of the box, I created a series of three compositions that deal with the idea of barriers, the ones that we face or the ones self-imposed. These jewelry pieces explore the concept of constraints and how we can adapt and evolve within the confines of a given framework. Through this creative exploration, I shifted my own perspective in order to find playful and inspiring ways to navigate the challenging grounds.
